The Makie technique, a traditional Japanese lacquer crafting technique, is used to decorate the earrings. They are made of 18kt white gold, natural Baltic amber, and feature a 0.11ct diamond. The Makie component incorporates 24kt gold powder, mother of pearl, and Japanese lacquer. The design showcases both the front and back of the amber, creating a unified image with the Makie technique.
